Uxbridge cruised to a convincing victory at Bulpit Lane, powered by a superb all‑round display from George Moore, whose early double set the tone for a dominant afternoon.
Hungerford began brightly, with Josh Marcon testing the visitors’ defence and going close from just outside the box. But the momentum swung sharply as Uxbridge struck twice in quick succession.
Moore opened the scoring from a 25‑yard free‑kick that took a deflection off the wall, wrong‑footing Luke Cairney and nestling into the bottom corner. Five minutes later, Moore punished slack defending, driving into the box and finishing clinically to double the lead.
To their credit, Hungerford responded with intent. Ramarni Medford‑Smith came agonisingly close to halving the deficit, flashing a volley just wide.
But just before the interval, Uxbridge captain CJ Fearn rose unchallenged to head home a third. Hungerford’s defensive organisation again came under scrutiny as Fearn found himself with far too much space.
The second half saw Uxbridge manage the game with composure, keeping the hosts at arm’s length. Marcon remained Hungerford’s brightest outlet and registered their only effort on target, but clear chances were scarce.
As the match drifted toward its conclusion, Uxbridge added a fourth. Moore once again caused havoc, forcing Cairney into a sharp save, but substitute Jack Lee reacted quickest to tap in the rebound and seal a comprehensive win.
A bruising afternoon leaves Hungerford licking their wounds ahead of a crucial trip to Weymouth next Saturday. With defensive lapses proving costly, they’ll need a far tighter performance to steady their campaign.
