Only Hungerford Town and Mangotsfield United possess nine points from the opening three games of the new season

Luke Hopper scored the only goal of the game to earn Hungerford the spoils at Didcot Town, who are yet to win under Francis Vines, while the Mangos edged out newly-promoted Poole Town 2-1 at Cossham Street.

United`s Geraint Bater broke the deadlock immediately after half-time only for Nick Spetch to finally equalise 12 minutes from time.

But a penalty converted by Harley Purnell 9 minutes from the end won it for the home side.

Only Bridgwater Town are yet to pick up a point, and they were beaten by a Justin Bennett effort just past the hour-mark at Fairfax Park against Gosport Borough.

Cinderford Town, Halesowen Town and Sholing are all on seven points, but only the Yeltz won on Saturday – the other two shared a 1-1 draw on the south coast where Tyrone Bowers equalised Lee Whittingham`s 24th minute opener for the Foresters with 14 minutes remaining.

Halesowen beat Bideford 3-1 at The Grove, thanks to a Justin Nisbett brace.

Elliott Kennedy struck two goals in a 6-minute spell for Bishops Cleeve, who beat Taunton Town 2-0 at home.

Taunton appeared to be heading for at least a draw before Kennedy scored his goals - in the 73rd and 79th minutes.

Rodney Marsh pulled a goal back for Taunton only 8 minutes later, slotting home a penalty after Jake Lee had handled the ball. But there was not enough time for Taunton, playing their third successive away game, to salvage something out of the match.

Matt Peddar scored the only goal of the game to earn Thatcham Town the points at home to Yate Town, while Stourport Swifts looked like heading for their first win when they led North Leigh 2-1 with an hour gone, courtesy of goals from John Griffin and Aaron Lloyd.

However, back came the visitors to earn a point through Andy McCabe on 70 minutes and a Stuart Hole spot-kick in the final minute.

Jimmy Griffin gave Abingdon United a 12th minute lead at home to Paulton Rovers, who earned a point through Dan Cleverley`s 52nd minute equaliser.

It was nip and tuck at Wimborne Town where visitors Clevedon Town led through Ashley Kington after 12 minutes.

Alex Parsons and Matt Kemble turned the game round in the home side`s favour before the break, only for Steve Kingdon to level 10 minutes into the second half.

Gary Funnell looked to have won it for the Magpies until Reeko Best popped up with an injury-time equaliser for the Seasiders.
