Swindon Town Reserves play Forest Green Rovers Reserves at Bulpit Lane Tonight 7PM

Matt Robinson15 Dec 2009 - 12:08

David Byrne will bring his reserve squad Tuesday night to Bulpit lane to play Forest Green Rovers reserve side.

Last time out for Swindon Reserves:

Pompey Reserves 3 Swindon 0
by Johnny Moore at Eastleigh

Papa Bouba Diop came through 90 minutes as Pompey Reserves coasted to a 3-0 victory over Swindon in a behind-closed-doors friendly.

Aaron Mokoena also played the whole of the game at the Blues’ training ground in Eastleigh.

Two goals by Danny Webber and an opener from Paris Cowan-Hall secured the victory.

Cowan-Hall struck on 15 minutes when James Hurst’s high cross found him perfectly placed at the far post to head home.

The two combined again soon after but this time Cowan-Hall was ruled offside as he tapped the ball into the Swindon net.

Pompey continued to boss the play and shortly after half-time they were further ahead. Eugen Bopp found Webber who ran through the Swindon defence to slot home.

On 55 minutes it was three with the returning Diop instrumental.

The big midfield man’s astute through ball was pursued by Cowan Hall, who rounded the keeper. The ball ran away from him but perfectly into the path of Webber, who tapped home.

Webber might have bagged a hat-trick but Swindon’s keeper beat away his fierce late shot.
