Chairman Patrick Chambers stated “ It made sense to agree terms for an extension and pen a new deal to secure Ryan for the foreseeable future. We have had some interest from other clubs, but they didn’t meet our valuation and after a few conversations with Ryan, he was happy to commit himself to the club with an agreed release clause. He is a smashing lad and has enjoyed his time with us to date and I am confident that he will continue to score many more goals and get his chance to get back to being a full time pro, which of course is his personal goal and we respect that.

Gaffer Danny Robinson added that he couldn’t be happier with Ryans commitment and attitude and his decision to agree a new two year deal. I told the Chairman that I really didn’t want to sell him and that whilst we are all about team spirit and hard work, if you lose your top scorer, then it would make my job that much harder. I have no doubt he will get his chance as a pro again as he is a top player and a full season will see him get even better. Great news for our fans.

Ryan Seager said it was an easy decision, as he is really happy at the club and loves playing with a great group of lads who have unfinished business next season. I feel part of the HTFC family and cant wait to get back to pre season in a couple of weeks and get cracking. The Gaffer and the Chairman have been open with me about their plans and I just want to get my head down and play football and meet the fans, which will be special for all of us players.
