Ray Brown’s was a great Hungerford Town & Lambourn football club player & committee member who sadly passed away this season.
Ray was a local player of non-league football for Lambourn and Hungerford Town, and his love of Hungerford made him settle and live in Hungerford after marrying Janice.
They had two boys Craig & Adam the latter played a Hobbit in the recent international trilogy films.
Ray’s prowess playing for many years for all the Hungerford sides culminated in a trip to Wembley where he won the Umbro Veterans trophy with Hungerford Veterans.
Ray was also a dedicated committee man and for years he looked after the playing surface which has contributed in no short measure to the recent Hungerford success on the pitch.
