HISTORY
Gloucester City have been in the upper echelons of non league since joining the Southern League in 1939
More recently after 15 seasons in the National League they got relegated in 23/24 season but finished 4th in their first season back in the Southern League. Going on to lose the playoff final to AFC Totton.
LAST SEASON
We beat the Tigers here last season 1-0 thanks to a Brad Hooper strike. It was a performance Danny Robinson described as the most complete of the season.
DANGER MAN
Of course we all know about Elis Watts, indeed he scored one of our goals of the season against Gloucester City last season at the Tiger Turf Stadium before moving to Gloucester in December. Keep an eye on Joe Hanks though he scored a brace in their opening day win and looks to have an eye for goal.
FORM
Gloucester City beat Gosport Borough at home 4-2 on opening day. They will be one of the favourites for the title this season.
DID YOU KNOW
Edward II King of England 1307-1327 is buried in Gloucester Cathedral which is well worth a visit on the away day fixture. Gloucester is the 53rd largest settlement in the UK with a population on just under 170,000 - Hungerford's is just under 6,000 by comparison
