Ian Passey is a local successful CEO for CY Screen & Digital Print Services with several other business interests who initially joined the HTFC Executive Committee as the new Sports Director has now been unanimously voted in as the HTFC new Chairman.
Current Chairman, Nigel Warrick has stepped down to do a back office role supporting the new committee with business planning and marketing. NJW Limited will remain as a main sponsor but a push is on to find new sponsors who may wish their logo on the Crusaders shirts or pitch side advertising boards.
Ian brings a great passion and wealth of experience within local football emanating from his own playing days to that of his sons playing at varying levels.
Ian has not taken the decision lightly and has first hand experience of the challenge ahead having worked with HTFC for several seasons as the Sports Director. Ian has already shown great passion, generosity, time and commitment working closely with the club, the Crusaders and the HTFC Academy.
The club has got to encourage more volunteers to sustain and improve the clubs infrastructure and indeed catch up with the standard of football displayed on the pitch at National League level. It has been difficult, as with all communities to get everybody working as a team often leveraging the good will of exceptional volunteers. The key however is to introduce new friends and volunteers across the club, from the tea shop to the gate director.
A step change for the club will be employ a full time Commercial Director to find sponsorship and improve bar profits via regular events, manage daily issues, take the club phone calls, improve processes and health and safety. Another essential element for success is communication with a visible business plan and better communications through the HTFC Web site, newsletters and members correspondence.
Ian stated that "Team work makes the dream work"and is determined to get everybody working together for a new exciting 2017/18 season.
