With the defensive and midfield areas of Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South & West club Mangotsfield United's new look squad developing, the addition of a first striker has now been made.
Fast-moving attacker Mike Whittington (pictured above) joins the club from Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South & West Cinderford Town to become the twelfth signing since the appointment of manager Richard Thompson at the start of May.
Last season Whittington (pictured) scored nine league goals in twenty eight starts after joining the Forest Of Dean based club last summer.
Whittington started his career as a youngster at Cheltenham Town from where he went on loan to Mangotsfield for a short spell in 2007. After his release from Cheltenham he was snapped up by Gloucester City in the summer of 2007 after three loan periods with the club.
After a year with Gloucester, Whittington made the switch to Yate Town before signing for Almondsbury Town ahead of the 2009/10 season, joining up with former boss Richard Thompson.
Last season, after Almondsbury Town withdrew from the league, he signed for Cinderford Town.
