
Two goals down at the break, an injury to Matt Berry‑Hargreaves, and plenty of chances created — the lads refused to fold. The second half was all Hungerford, with Stephen Walsh pulling the strings and driving the team forward.
Antonio Brandeo struck in the 88th minute to spark belief, and Jordan Rose’s 98th‑minute header sent the Hungerford end into absolute scenes. Joe Shepherd so nearly won it at the death.
The shootout didn’t go our way, but the fight, the football, and the heart on display made the club proud.
