Biography
With only 48 hours to find a new goalkeeper for the Crusaders because George Legg was recalled by Reading Football club, Bobby Wilkinson worked around the clock to identify Lewis Ward. The Reading U23 Goalkeeper had just finished his loan period with Margate and is now with us for the 2017/18 season.Lewis is as tall as George Legg at 1.95m and therefore is not challenged by high balls into the box and he has already started building a bond with the Crusaders and the fans.
He is showing signs of being a formidable character in the side.
