Hungerford start there Berks and Bucks cup adventure on Tuesday night. They face Beaconsfield from the 7th tier of English football- one below Hungerford. They’re currently going strong in the Evo-Stik southern premier south sitting in fourth position. Hungerford meanwhile are struggling in the national league south which means a cup shock could be on the cards!
Form guide- Our visitors Beaconsfield were in fa trophy action over the weekend. They progressed courtesy of a 2-1 win over Aveley. They’ve also beaten Swindon Supermarine and drawn against Frome Town recently in the league. Meanwhile Hungerford are without a win in 3 games after Saturdays 3-1 loss to Eastbourne Borough. There last win was against Hampton and Richmond Borough 2-0 over 2 weeks ago.
Team news- After a quick turnaround of games both managers are likely to make changes from their respective teams on Saturday. Both teams have no new injury absentees but players with any knocks are unlikely to be risked for this cup match. Tarik Moore-Azill is nearing a return but this game will come too soon for him and its unknown whether Marvel Ekpiteta is allowed to play following his red card on Saturday.
Star man- Top goalscorer Anthony Mendy will be the visitor’s main attacking threat on Tuesday evening. He’s scored seven goals in the league so far. The Crusaders could give a start to striker Conor Lynch who before injury was in good form. If given a chance the academy product will be eager to show the club he’s still the number one striker ahead of Danilo Orsi-Dadomo.
Head to head- No recent head to head history between the two sides.
