having missed chances in a goalless first half as we face a tough programme in the opening few weeks of the season.
James Clark had a chance early on before Josh Parsons broke through, only to knock the ball too far ahead, but the home side hit the post, although Zaki Oualah had been fouled earlier in the attack. As half-time approached, Parsons twice went close from O’Brien passes but was robbed close in and then shot just wide when we looked likely to open the scoring.
It was the home side who took the lead after 47 minutes however, when Adam Kelly eluded Dean Stow to fire in an unstoppable shot only 2 minutes after the restart, but a great run and perfect cross from O’Brien saw Mark Draycott (pictured) head the equalizer 10 minutes later.
It was Weymouth who began to dominate the midfield and Parsons was forced off after a tackle by Ed Palmer, who was booked for the offence, before Stuart Yetton volleyed into the roof of the net following a corner in the 70th minute and he tapped in the third in the 87th.minute after the ball had spun to him off Oualah as we rued those first half missed chances. ‘
