Sports therapist

SeƔnagh graduated University May 2017 BSc (Hons) Sports Rehabilitation & Athletic Therapy from the Institute of Technology Carlow, Ireland. Despite her recent graduation she has a wide range of experience gained, both through her course and invested her time to volunteer for local sports teams over the last 2 years. Through this she gained an extensive amount of practical experience working with elite level athletes in a wide variety of sports, including Basketball, Rugby, Gaelic Games and Professional Football. She has recently moved to the UK in order to continue to develop her skills.

She has completed a number of student positions with professional football clubs: St. Johnstone FC, who finished 4th in the during the 2016/17 campaign and securing Europa League qualification; Bristol Rovers FC who finished the season 10th in EFL League 1 upon their first year back; Swindon Town FC helping their Lead Physiotherapist with the preparation for their league campaign. During her time with these clubs she worked with the Medical teams to ensure the appropriate individualised treatment and rehabilitation of all players, as well as match day preparation and recovery. She hopes to put this experience to good use to ensure a high level of treatment for our players and further success for the club.

Seanagh has already made a very positive impact on the players welfare and added a happy, bright personality to the Crusaders changing and medical rooms.

We would also like to take the opportunity of thanking Stacey Wood for providing a professional hand over of the physio duties after leaving the club but still assisting the players with their sports injuries. Secondly, thank you to Elise and Becky for standing in over the first few games of the season.
