"Every game is tough"

"Every game is tough in this league"
- Jon Boardman

Tonight the Crusaders will make the short trip to our Oxfordshire rivals Oxford City at their Marsh Lane ground.

City will be upbeat after their convincing 3-0 victory away to Whitehawk on Saturday, whilst the Crusaders were on the receiving end of a 2-0 home defeat vs Hemel Hempstead, in truth the game could have gone in Hungerford's favour had they scored some of their chances from their first half dominance.. and that is why Jon Boardman say's "Every game is tough in this league" This statement was also proven in two results on Monday night, where both Havant & Waterlooville and St Albans both beat home favourites Wealdstone & Chelmsford City respectively.

Mike Jones this week has left the Crusaders after Wilkinson opened the door for a transfer to Chippenham Town.

Hungerford, whilst will be deflated after their defeat on Saturday they will also be traveling to City knowing that they beat them 6-0 on their home turf last season. Oxford however saw themselves in the goals vs the undefeated league leaders St Albans in their season opener and narrowly lost to fancied Hampton & Richmond and having only picked up 3 points will certainly be confident of continuing their positive result from the weekend. City's new 4G pitch could also be a leveller.

Skipper Matt Day who limped out of the pre-match warm up on Saturday will face a late fitness test, Whilst Jon Boardman is ready to stand in. Luke Hopper should also be involved having returned from a Wedding in Thailand and sitting out last Saturday watching from the stands.

We would really like to see some more familiar faces in the stands tonight, so we encourage all you fans to make the short journey tonight. Kick Off is 7.45 at Marsh Lane, OX3 0NQ]
