To sustain and improve for the long term HTFC future....

Hungerford Town Football Club are pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Bowles who will be joining the club as our new Commercial Director, initially in a part time, volunteer role. Alan has some fantastic ideas and business contacts, and it is hoped that Alan will step up into a full time position early next year.
Alan has been married for 40 years to Claire and have one daughter named Natalie who is married to the Crusaders joint manager, Ian ‘Spud’ Herring.
Alan has been an avid Hungerford fan for the past 5 years since Ian Herring signed for the Crusaders from Eastleigh. He is a childhood fan of Tottenham Hotspurs and is therefore used to enjoying good, skilful, attacking football!
For the past 25 years he has been involved in the contract kitchen industry dealing with mid to high end housebuilders. Alan is currently working for Manor Cabinets based in Swindon and up until 18 months ago he was Managing Director of the contracts division growing the business from £2 million per annum to around £6 million. Following a recent company takeover, Alan has decided to step down from this position to concentrate on his substantial customer base continuing to promote the business as a Business Development Manager. Alan is hoping to take early retirement in the New Year but wants to use his vast sales and marketing experience to improve Hungerford Town Football Club on and off of the pitch.
Alan’s objectives and goals for Hungerford Town FC are to commercially move the club onto the next level with regards to gate attendances, sponsorship and further commercial ventures outside of the football sector.
Alan’s natural business skills make him an ideal candidate to immediately join and strengthen the HTFC Executive Committee which currently consists of Nigel Warrick, Mike Hall, Simon Liddiard, Norman Matthews, Steve Skipworth but are also supported by Ron Tarry, the Crusaders Management team and the larger HTFC Community Committee and club members.
The club needs more exposure, not only within the local community and town but also in the local catchment areas such as Swindon, Newbury and Marlborough.
Alan's mission is to get Hungerford Town FC on the map and make our competition envious.
He also enjoys a round of golf but may be too busy soon until the summer months.
