Evesham United name new Stadium

Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South & West club Evesham United's new ground on Cheltenham Road will be named The Jubilee Stadium.

The announcement was fittingly made over the Bank Holiday weekend by chairman Jim Cockerton as millions across the country celebrated the Queen's Diamond Jubilee with street parties and other community events.

The opening of the £2million stadium will take place on July 7 with former Premiership manager Ron Atkinson cutting the ribbon before a match between The Robins and a Manchester United legends team.
