League leaders visit Bulpit Lane

It's the turn of League toppers Dartford this Saturday to visit Bulpit Lane. Fortress Bulpit was a name we inherited over the last few seasons, but this season has been a different story, whilst no team has come and wiped the floor with the Crusaders it has been since early September since the Crusaders last recorded a win.

The management and players however are coming off the back of a 1-1 draw away to high flying Chelmsford City last week with a draw probably a fair result and the boys will be in high spirits. Players are starting to come from injury and the new signings have started to find their feet.

Joint Player Manager Herring returns from suspension this week, whilst his Co-Manager Jon Boardman is recovering from a groin operation on Monday but will still be in attendance on the sideline.

Dartford, however will be in high spirits after winning away to Poole Town last week 1-0 and keeping a clean sheet was something that impressed Manager Tony Burman after being his side concede a few goals in the November. That win gave Dartford a 3 point lead at the top of the table, which is extremely tight with only a 7 point gap between them and Wealdstone in 11th.

At the opposite end of the table Hungerford Town slipped into 19th on Tuesday night after in form Oxford City defeated Truro City 3-1 and saw them leapfrog The Crusaders in the table.

Dartford have added strength to their side in the last week, with Defender Nathan Collier making the switch from Hampton & Richmond and Striker Danny Mills signed on loan from neighbours Ebbsfleet United after failing to get much game time at the recently named Kuflink Stadium.

Hungerford will need to keep their eye on Midfielder Elliot Bradbook who has 13 goals to his name this season and Striker Alfie Pavey who boasts 15 goals.

Kick Off will be at the usual 3pm.
